Modern Chalet Complex Design – Dead Sea, Jordan
Set on a 2,300 sqm plot with a direct, unobstructed view of the Dead Sea, this project features the design of five modern private chalets. The architectural language is driven by minimalism and clean geometry, carefully oriented to capture the natural beauty and serenity of the waterfront.
Each chalet is strategically positioned to maximize privacy while maintaining panoramic sea views. The layout ensures a seamless indoor-outdoor experience, with expansive terraces, shaded seating areas, and private plunge pools overlooking the horizon.
One of the major design challenges was the steep slope of the site. Instead of leveling the terrain, the elevation differences were embraced and transformed into a design opportunity. Each chalet was designed with its own basement level, accessed through a private rear entrance. These lower levels include a car garage, service room, and mechanical room for the pool, allowing the main living areas to remain elevated and focused on the sea view.
Materials were carefully selected to harmonize with the surrounding landscape, natural stone, textured concrete, and glass, creating a balance between elegance and earthiness. The design also integrates passive cooling strategies and natural shading in response to the harsh climate conditions of the region.
This project is a refined balance between luxury, nature, and functional design, offering a peaceful retreat just steps away from one of the most iconic and unique landscapes in the world.
